Lovers and Patriots tells one of the most moving love stories in American history. It is an ensemble drama featuring a
collection of giants, put in perspective, through two who were honorable, intelligent, passionate and forever immortal.

Lovers and Patriots covers four years in the lives of John and Abigail Adams. John Adams, the brilliant, fiercely
independent, always honest Yankee patriot, “the Colossus of Independence” as Jefferson called him, and the wise and
valiant Abigail Adams; outspoken and sharp-penned and whose passion for her husband and her support of abolition of
slavery and women’s rights make her worthy of much belated, but well deserved recognition.
Their story is drama on a grand scale. These performances provide a brief glimpse into their private lives and covers
politics, war, social issues, human nature, love, passion, loss, religious faith, virtue, ambition, friendship, betrayal, and
the far-reaching consequences of noble ideas.
